As I sit in my office, getting ready to hit the publish button on this blog post I'm happy to say it finally feels like summer! Meaning? Well, it's kinda hot. And though I don't really like this sticky air, it reminds me that lake swimming and river lounging is just around the corner. This frigid bear of a winter was just paying dues for the glories of Summer in Vermont. It's so hard to wait, and sometimes I think we Vermonters are a bit too eager about it. Driving up to South Hero for the shoot I saw two stand up paddlers on the the lake . . . lake temps anyone? Yikes, I hope no one fell in. I suppose late Spring is really more accurate. And this weekend at Sandra and Dave's family abode there were tulips, fluffy chicks and seedlings in the garden to prove it. Getting to meet Sandra and her lovely family, hang out on their dreamy property and shoot her adorable kids was a great way to spend a beautiful Springy morning. And spending time with littler ones made me realize how these summers before they get big are so precious. We only get a few before they are all booked up with baseball and friends and camps. Thanks for letting me document this little slice of time for you guys! And thanks for the reminder . . .
